How the age is worked out
The calculator counts whole years first, then whole months, then the days left over — the same way you would count on a calendar. If you were born on 20 March 1990, on 5 June 2026 you are 36 years, 2 months and 16 days old: 36 birthdays have passed, then two more month-days (20 April and 20 May), then 16 days from 20 May to 5 June.
Change the Age on date to find an age on any day — for example the last date of a job application, a school admission cut-off or the day of an exam.
Questions
How do I calculate my exact age?
Enter your date of birth. The exact age in years, months and days appears straight away, with the total number of months, weeks and days you have lived and the days left to your next birthday.
How do I find my age on a particular date?
Change the “Age on” date. Job adverts and admission forms in Pakistan and India often ask for the age on a closing date — put that date in and the age shown is the age on that day.
What if I was born on 29 February?
In years without a 29 February, the calculator takes your birthday as 28 February — the last day of your birth month — so a full year is counted on that day.
Why is my Hijri date of birth shown?
Many families also keep the Islamic date of birth. It is worked out with the Umm al-Qura calendar, so in Pakistan and India the date as sighted locally may differ by a day.
Is my date of birth saved or sent anywhere?
No. The sum is done on your phone. Nothing you enter is sent to us, and the page does not keep it after you close it.
