Shrink a photo for an online form

Job portals, university admissions, passport and ID forms often refuse a photo or a scanned document that is bigger than 100 KB, 50 KB or even 20 KB. Choose your photo, pick the size the form asks for, and save the smaller copy. The tool finds the best quality that fits, and only makes the picture smaller in pixels if it has to.

Your photo never leaves your phone. It is compressed inside your browser — nothing is uploaded, so it is safe for ID cards and documents.

Questions

How do I reduce a photo to under 100 KB?

Tap “Choose a photo”, keep “Under a size” and 100 KB selected, then tap “Save photo”. The saved copy is under 100 KB; your original is not changed.

Is it safe to compress my CNIC or documents here?

Yes. The picture is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to us or anyone else. You can even switch off the internet after the page opens.

Which format should I choose?

JPG works everywhere and is best for photos and forms. WebP is smaller still but some older forms do not accept it. PNG keeps transparent backgrounds but files are much bigger.

Why is my photo smaller in size on screen too?

To reach a very small size such as 20 KB, the picture sometimes has to have fewer pixels as well as stronger compression. For a passport-style photo that is fine — forms rarely need more than 600 pixels wide.

Can I compress iPhone HEIC photos?

On an iPhone, yes — Safari opens HEIC photos and the tool saves them as JPG. Some Android browsers cannot open HEIC files; share the photo as JPG first.
